So you know those nights where you really just don't have time to go home after work to change and get ready for cocktail hour or dinner with friends? This post is for those nights.

It's Wednesday night and you and your friends are planning to meet for a drink after work on Thursday. You're panicking because you don't want to take a whole second outfit to go out, but you really don't want to wear your work clothes either because you know your friends certainly won't be in theirs. This is why a black blazer is an absolute must.

I swear I have had this blazer for like 6 years and it is one of the best clothing purchases ever. A blazer makes any dress or top and skirt combo look business professional. But, when you're ready to go out with friends, just ditch the blazer and you're good to go.

For these day to night looks, I always like to pair a fun, flirty dress with my blazer so you can go from not-so-boring-office-worker to 5'oclock-I-need-a-drink-right-now on a Thursday. Plus floral patterns add just a pop of color and are still sophisticated enough to tell people  to take you seriously. I also like the fit and flare style compared to something that might be too tight fitting for work. But, the fit and flare is a good comprise for day to night.

Bottom line, find a good black blazer (or two) and handle with care, check these out. It will be a lifesaver for so many looks.
