Fall is for LAYERS. Collin and I always joke that we don’t know where our future children’s coats will go because we have an entire coat closet filled with jackets for just the two of us. It’s a real problem.
But, when you live in Indiana and experience cold weather for six months out of the year, a variety of layering pieces are absolutely necessary. I much prefer fall layers to the marshmallow puff jackets I wear during the winter just to stay warm so for tonight’s post, I’m sharing all my favorite cute fall jackets.
Cute Fall Jackets You Need this Season: The Blazer
Blazers are a must have this year. I am loving them dressed up, dressed down, with band tees, with dresses. Pretty much anyway I can wear a blazer, I’m doing it. I’ve also added about four to my collection in the last month (thanks Lesley Jane) because that’s what I rocked during NYFW. The one thing I have to be careful with on blazers is the sleeve length and making sure that they won’t swallow me. I’ve linked a few below that have worked well for me.
Cute Fall Jackets You Need this Season: The Denim Jacket
You can’t go wrong with a denim jacket. This is another versatile piece that you can wear with band tees, dresses, black denim and a white tee for a casual look. The possibilities are endless. I picked up this hunter green denim jacket from Evereve because I thought it was a fun spin on a staple fall piece and one of my favorite colors. Take a look below at some of my other favorites and the details on this look.
Cute Fall Jackets You Need this Season: The Moto Jacket
Who doesn’t love a good moto jacket? As soon as I put mine on, I feel instantly cooler than I was without it, very Sandy at the end of Grease. Anyway, I actually got this one last year and love it because it actually fits me. The arms are perfect and it’s not oversized which I appreciate. I found it for you guys again so it’s linked below with the rest of my outfit details.
In case you couldn’t already tell, cute fall jackets are a staple in my closet. Plus, they are a great piece to have as the weather cools off and you need something trendy to throw on before we all live in sherpas.
Cheers to the best fall jackets,
