Viva Las Vegas! If you've never been to Sin City, or even if you have and are planning to visit again, I'm sharing my favorite things to do there today in this Las Vegas travel guide.

To be honest, I've only ever been to Vegas for work, but the phrase "work hard, play hard" definitely applies.

Las Vegas Travel Guide - Where to stay

When I've been to Vegas, I've stayed at the Paris and the Bellagio. Both are great and in the middle of the strip which is what I'd recommend. The one thing I'd say about the Paris is that you can't really get to the hotel lobby or the rooms without going through the casino which means your hair will instantly smell like smoke. I enjoyed the Bellagio for that reason because we staying in the Spa Tower so we could avoid walking through the casino every time we left.

Vegas has so many amazing hotels. I've walked through Caesars, the Cosmopolitan, the Aria, and the Venetian which all look amazing too.

Las Vegas Travel Guide - Food

Vegas has an insane amount of food options and this is definitely where you can spend some money aside from gambling. Below are my recommendations:

  • Eggslut in the Cosmopolitian
  • Hexx in the Paris
  • Bellagio Cafe
  • Buffet in the Bellagio or the Paris

  • Holstein's in the Cosmopolitian
  • The Secret Pizza place in the Cosmopolitian
  • Shake Shack at New York New York

I highly recommend looking at the menu's before you pick a place to eat. Many restaurants in Vegas can be pricy or may not have anything you like, so just check it out!

You can pretty much go to any of these places just for drinks too. I'd recommend Mon Ami Gabi and their Sancerre.

Las Vegas Travel Guide - Nightlife

One thing you won't miss out on in Vegas is nightlife. You can walk up and down the streets and find promoters anywhere passing out their info. I've been to Hyde at the Bellagio and I've been to Drai's. Both were awesome with great DJs, good (expensive) drinks, and ended in a night filled with stories.

Las Vegas Travel Guide - Entertainment

I'm not a big gambler, but you can do that just about anywhere in Vegas. I am into shows though and this time, I had the privilege of seeing 'O', the Cirque du Soleil show. Holy WOW you guys. This show left me speechless. One minute the stage is a pool, the next minute the pool is gone. People are diving, dancing. doing acrobatics, it is simply amazing. It is 100% worth the money.

Don't be fooled by inexpensive flight and hotel combos to get you to Vegas. It is definitely an expensive city, but you'll likely have a blast.

If you have specific questions, feel free to reach out. Like I said, I've only been there for work, but I've been able to take advantage of what the strip has to offer.
